Growth continues in David Jones Industrial Park with new Industrial Building

The Hollingsworth Companies break ground on 126,800 SqFt Industrial building in Anderson County, TN

Clinton, TN – August 4, 2016 – The Hollingsworth Companies broke ground on their fourth industrial building project in David Jones Industrial Park on August 1st with the start of a fifth building project expected in early 2017. Hollingsworth has signed the first tenant, A&S Building Systems, with 13,100 sq.ft. of office space. The 127,600 sq.ft. class A steel building has the capacity to expand to 172,600 sq.ft. with 32’ clear height and 8 dock doors suitable for warehouse or manufacturing space.

The Hollingsworth Companies are continuing to see a recovery from the severe building recession that started in 2008. In 2016 alone, the company completed a 264,763 sq. ft. automotive building in Cookeville, TN in February; and a 183,618 sq. ft. expansion to a remelt factory in Prince George, VA in July. Joe Hollingsworth, CEO of The Hollingsworth Companies stated “These two build to suit facilities represent two of the most cutting edge high technology companies in their respective industries. The new speculative Anderson County facility will afford the county the ability to attract immediate users such as startups companies that require incubator space, early stage/smaller companies, to a larger single user for the balance of the space.”

Based on the continued economic recovery and growth potential in Anderson County, TN; The Hollingsworth Companies have prepared the building site and preapproved plans for a fifth building project at David Jones Industrial Park. The building is currently planned to be an identical footprint of the current project, it is a build to suit and could be customized to specific tenant specifications.

“Anderson County continues to grow on many fronts, with this groundbreaking it will add to the continuing job growth we are experiencing” stated Rick Meredith, President of the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce. “The reason for this is simple, Anderson County is open for business and my staff and I here at the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce work hard every day to grow our county. I also want to congratulate my partner in economic development Tim Thompson on his continued work with creating jobs and projects for our county. With all this said, it is a “Great Day in Anderson County”!”
